The Art of Scott Benson
All pieces available as prints at etsy. Scott’s art is a witch’s brew flavored with Richard Scarry’s spirit along with modern geeky spices and mixed by dancing animals in the forest. At least, that’s how I imagined it.

Sotheby’s will be auctioning these works off next month in “Playing Poker: Theme and Variation.” OK, not really, but seriously Sotheby’s—something to consider?

This prawn is very common in the tidal pools. Its near transparency is a challenge to paint it on a white background.

During his 30 year career as a children’s book publisher, Klaus Flugge recieved almost 100 beautifully illustrated envelopes by artists including Posy Simmonds, Tony Ross and Axel Scheffler.
Klaus Flugge: ‘I am immensely proud to be the recipient and owner of almost 100 envelopes from talented artists such as David McKee, Satoshi Kitamura, Tony Ross and others.’
‘David McKee came across a book of illustrated envelopes entitled Letters to Georgio by the well known French artist Jean-Michel Folon which inspired him to start the collection. His first few envelopes were displayed in my office, and influenced other artists working for Anderson Press to do the same.’
